E-bike Battery System
The advantages of lithium-ion battery as the power source of e-bike products are high energy and long cycle life. Compared with traditional lead-acid batteries, lithium batteries are easy to be damaged under over-voltage under-voltage, over-current and over-temperature conditions. While equipping lithium batteries with a BMS system, it is also necessary to do a good job of thermal management of the battery components.
Thermally conductive interface materials that can be applied to e-bike battery systems:
① Thermally conductive phase change film has a large specific heat capacity, fast heat absorption and high density energy storage. Phase change temperature range 40~60℃, when the temperature exceeds the initial value of phase change temperature 40℃, the viscosity decreases under low pressure. Thermally conductive phase change film (BN-PM2020, BN-PM2020A) can fill the gap between the battery pack and the shell, and low thermal resistance can be obtained to form an interface with good thermal conductivity.
②Thermally conductive spacer (BN-FS series) transfers heat evenly between cells and between cells and heat pipes to maintain the balance of the overall temperature of the battery pack. Thermally conductive gasket sheet is soft, good resilience, good insulation and thermal conductivity can improve the efficiency and service life of the battery.
③ Thermally conductive gel (BN-TG350-2, BN-TG350) can be used for heat dissipation between the battery module and the heat sink, to maintain the temperature range in which the battery can operate normally when it is working, which can improve the efficiency of heat dissipation as well as prolong the service life of the battery.
④Thermally conductive potting compound (BN-RT150, BN-RT400-5, BN-RT450) can be used for potting lithium-ion battery packs, which not only conducts heat from the battery module to the heat sink case, but also reduces the size of the gap in the module design by taking advantage of the high dielectric strength of the potting compound.
