Optical Transmission Module
Optical module is an important part of optical fibre communication, which is mainly composed of optoelectronic devices (optical transmitters, optical receivers), functional circuits and optical interfaces to achieve photoelectric conversion and electro-optical conversion in the optical signal transmission process. The higher the transmission rate of the optical module, the larger the data transmission, in order to the optical chip can work stably in the appropriate temperature range, so effective heat dissipation channel in the optical transmission module design is crucial, and the thermal interface materials for the oil rate, volatile content of strict requirements.
Thermally conductive interface materials that can be applied to optical transmission modules:
①Thermally conductive spacer (BN-FS800, BN-FS1500-12) can be used on the upper surface of DSP, MCU, power supply chip of optical transmission module as well as the upper and lower surfaces of optical transmitter and optical receiver, so that it can be filled between the components and the shell with high thermal conductivity. Thermally conductive gasket hardness, oil yield, volatile matter, carrier, resilience can be flexibly designed according to customer needs; good flexibility, resilience can cover uneven surfaces and play a role in reducing structural stress, the effect of protecting structural components.
②Single-component gel (BN-TG350-8z, BN-TG350-105, BN-TG350-6) can be used for optical transmission module DSP, MCU, power supply chip on the upper surface, as well as the upper and lower surfaces of the optical transmitter, optical receiver, so that it fills in between the components and the shell, to improve the efficiency of heat dissipation. Ultra-low compression stress, no stress damage to components; good surface wettability; low oil release rate, high reliability, wide temperature range; automatic dispensing process can be realised to improve the operation efficiency; keep the shape unchanged after extrusion, no flow or collapse, easy to operate, etc.
③Two-component thermally conductive gel (BN-RT420L, BN-GL228L) can be used on the upper surface of DSP, MCU, power supply chip of optical transmission module, as well as the upper and lower surfaces of optical transmitter and optical receiver, so that it can be filled between the components and the shell to improve the heat dissipation efficiency. Two-component gel before curing for the gel state gap-filling ability, after curing state close to the thermal conductive gasket, low oil rate, good resistance to sagging performance.
④Wave-absorbing materials can absorb electronic waves, eliminating the reflection of electronic waves back and forth in the shielding cavity, and eliminating the interference of stray waves on itself and the surrounding equipment.
